Beaches

The northern Costa Blanca (or La Marina Alta) offers magnificent scenic beaches and coves, ranging from dramatic scenery on rocky/pebble beaches to gently shelving sands.

Cumbre del Sol

Cala Moraig beach is a very picturesque beach here on Cumbre del Sol, with dramatic scenery of the surrounding cliffs. This is a lovely spot just 5 minutes drive from the villa (a very steep road down to the beach means you may well need the car for the return journey!) A pebble / rock beach, this is also a well know spot for scuba diving, and has a beach bar and restaurant open during the summer months. Please be aware that a section of this beach at the far end is reserved for Naturists.

Ampolla beach

Ampolla beach is one of Moraira’s four blue flag beaches. As with all the Costa Blanca blue flag beaches Ampolla Beach is kept clean, is lifeguard patrolled in summer and has bars, restaurants and a Red Cross cabin. The main Moraira Beach “Playa la Ampolla” is safe for children, as it shelves gently.

Moraira/ El Portet

The picturesque harbour town of Moraira has a small sandy beach – l’Ampolla – situated close to the main town, Castle and port. To the north is El Portet beach – a delightful, not to be missed gently shelving sandy bay with clear waters, ideal for families.

Javea

The Arenal beach in Javea is the main tourist and commercial area – an attractive sandy bay, fronted with a promenade and a huge choice of restaurants and bars.
For the more scenic and less commercial areas, head north from the San Antonio cape to Granadella cove – a perfect example of the varied and beautiful coastline of the Costa Blanca.

Denia

With almost 20 kilometres of coastline, Denia is a must for beach lovers featuring long stretches of sand with the most popular areas to the north of the town. A bustling sea port, Denia also offers numerous boat trips and ferry services to Ibiza.

Altea

The 5 beaches of Altea stretch from Mascarat point in a wide bay as far as the port’s breakwater that marks the edge of Alfas de Pi – here the beach completes the bay at Bombarda point. The beach at Greenwich marina has pebbles and clear waters, along with a wide range of water sport activities.

Calpe

Transparent waters are the order of the day on the 12 beaches of Calpe ranging from rocky coves to wide, fine sandy beaches.
